Import Notes into Moss

Pick the guide that matches where your notes already live.

How it works: Moss can open Markdown files where they already live. Notion usually needs an export first. Obsidian usually does not.

Import from Notion

Export from Notion as Markdown, unzip the download, and open that folder in Moss.

Import from Obsidian

Open your Obsidian vault directly in Moss and keep working with the same Markdown files.

Other Markdown folders

If your notes already live in Dropbox, iCloud, a project folder, or another app, use File → Open... in Moss and choose that folder.

Moss opens those notes under External and saves changes back to the same files.

Moss showing an external folder of Markdown notes in the sidebar.
After you use File → Open..., the notes appear under External in the left sidebar.
