Back Up and Sync

Pick the guide that matches where your notes already live.

How it works: Moss stores notes as normal files on your Mac. When you edit in Moss, Moss changes those files, and Dropbox, iCloud Drive, or another sync service can sync the updated files. Keep using that cloud service to view version history, restore older versions, or manage sharing.

Open a Synced Markdown Folder

Work with Markdown files that already live in Dropbox, iCloud, or another folder.

Sync Local Moss Workspace

Connect your current Moss workspace to Dropbox, iCloud Drive, or OneDrive, then point Moss to that synced copy.

Use Git with Moss Notes

Use your normal Git workflow with Moss files if you already use Git.
